André co-founded Empyreal in 1997 and served as CEO from its inception. He holds a National Diploma in Civil Engineering and has over 35 years of post-graduate experience in the civil engineering industry, including 11 years in consulting engineering and since 1997 as a contractor. André’s extensive experience and hands-on approach have made him a respected figure in the industry. Since retiring from active duty in 2019, he has been the Chairman of the Board.

André joined Empyreal in 2004 as a Contracts Manager and became a Director in 2011. He holds a National Diploma in Civil Engineering and has over 30 years of post-graduate experience in the civil engineering industry, all in construction. André also holds a Diploma in Arbitration and a Certificate of Specialization in Construction Law. He is registered as a Professional Construction Manager with the SACPCMP and is a Fellow of the Association of Arbitrators (SA).

Wouter joined Empyreal in 2012 as a Contracts Manager and became a Director in 2014. He holds a National Diploma in Civil Engineering and has over 20 years of post-graduate experience in the civil engineering industry, all in construction. Wouter is registered as a Professional Construction Manager with the SACPCMP.

John joined Empyreal in 2017 as a Director and has represented Empyreal’s majority shareholder since 2013. He holds LL.B and LL.M degrees, an Advanced Certificate in Labour Law, and Certificates in Business Rescue, Divorce Mediation, and Commercial Mediation. John is an admitted Attorney of the High Court of South Africa with a broad background in BBBEE, procurement, insolvency, property, and mediation. He provides legal advice and ensures BBBEE compliance for the company.

Jeanette joined Empyreal as a Director in 2018, representing the black women shareholders of the company. She holds an LL.B degree and a Higher Diploma in Taxation. Jeanette is an admitted Attorney of the High Court of South Africa, specializing in employment and labour relations. She assists the company with employment and labour-related matters.

Welcome joined Empyreal in 2017 as a Site Agent, after completing his internship with the company in 2008. He holds a Post-graduate Diploma in Project Management (NQF level 8) and has over 15 years of experience in the civil engineering industry.

Karel joined Empyreal in 2016 as a Site Clerk and has over 15 years of experience in the civil engineering industry. His consistent dedication and exceptional performance have led to his current position as Logistics Manager and Manager of the plant hire division. Karel’s success story exemplifies the company’s commitment to developing and empowering its employees.

Ramah joined Empyreal in 2019 and has over 10 years of experience in Occupational Health and Safety and Environmental Management. He is registered as an Environmental Management System Auditor with SAATCA and as an Occupational Health and Safety Manager with the SACPCMP.

Yolanda joined Empyreal in 2011 as a Receptionist and has over 15 years of experience in the civil engineering industry. She quickly advanced from her entry-level position and now holds qualifications in Human Resources and is a Skills and Development Facilitator. Yolanda is the HR Manager and is registered as a member of the SA Board for People Practices.

André joined Empyreal in 2012 as Financial Manager and has over 30 years of post-graduate experience in financial management, with more than 15 years in the construction industry. He holds a BCompt degree and is registered as a Professional Accountant with SAIPA.
